Tech Training Consultant, Blackstone
In my role as a Tech Training Consultant, I work closely with technology leaders to develop and facilitate training for internal product launches. I partner with technology product owners to define future release objectives and coordinate additional training based on product release schedule. I design technical documentation, interactive training content and video materials to successfully convey product value to internal users. I regularly conduct and facilitate technical training based on new product enhancements.
February 2020 - March 2024
Senior Instructional Designer, Cortland
I collaborated with talent development and HR stakeholders to develop training on numerous topics including sales, software application​s, information security, customer service and data analytics. I manage training projects from inception to completion, communicating with stakeholders, and design superior learning experiences based on the budget, time and learner expectations. I also manage the corporate learning management system, create courses and manage the entire company learner base of 2,000 employees. I have designed and developed over 100 video lessons, interactive elearnings, job aides, cheat sheets, and checklists.

I've worked with department leaders and other stakeholders to design, develop and implement a brand new global employee onboarding program that seeks to improve the employee experience. Beyond traditional compliance training, new employees need context for their work and need to understand the general functions and business units of an international business. My day to day involves identifying areas of learning that have not previously been met in the other training programs. I meet with stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine the goal of an identified topic and design a lesson around that; determine the format, write a script, and develop content using any number of industry leading authoring tools such as Storyline 360, Camtasia, Rise, and Adobe After Effects. Even utilize Adobe Illustrator to create infographics, cheat-sheets, job aides or other static PDF documents.

As the Director of Curriculum Development, my primary responsibility was to drive customer, partner and employee success through key training and development programs. My day to day centered on managing my team's instructional design and training workload and coordinated with program stakeholders and SMEs to drive program growth and performance. I regularly collaborated with Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Support teams to determine ongoing and release-based product training needs and staff talent development needs. My team and I were responsible for building and maintaining the online training academy, knowledge base, troubleshooting documentation, training workshops and all other training events.
